Volunteer Recognition Awards 2023

The GWC board would like to congratulate the GWC Regalia Hire Volunteers for being recognised by Volunteering Canterbury in this year’s Volunteer Recognition Awards, 2023.

It was great to have Mayor Phil Mauger, as an integral part of this important occasion, and his valuable message of support.  

Our thanks extends to the Guest Speaker, Rev Nicky Lee, Deacon at Christchurch Cathedral for her words of wisdom, and Youth Violinist, Georgia Daly, for entertaining us with her stunning performance. Thank you also to Tina Cooper, Creative Designer, for the beautiful Harakeke Clusters and photographer, Jim Huang, who stepped in last minute and saved the day! 

It was very special to see the Graduate Women Canterbury Regalia Hire team being recognised for all of their hard work to ensure that graduation gear is available across the year to thousands of staff and students. 

The board thanks the team again for their continued commitment to providing such an excellent service and for their support of Sarah McBurney, the GWC Regalia Business Manager.
